RELUCTANT BEHEADED OF A BLACK WOMAN 

Gadget cane, called "reluctant beheaded". The handle allows the head to be cut off. By a system of cogwheel, the blade slips on one of the notches and the next one catches the head. Patended in 1898, this stick was sold at Renault & Cie in Paris. The small knife is kept in the shaft.

The knob is in ebony, the teeth and earings in ivory, and the eyes in sulfure. The shaft is in brown bamboo.

Knob's measures : 2,4" high by 1,8" high.

GADGET CANE " LIFE PRESERVER "  

Defense Gadget cane called " Hérisson " (Hedgehog). The milord knob is leaded and holds articulated spikes. By pushing the button, the spikes snap out pulling down the ring. 

On a bamboo shaft, metal ferrule.

Knob's measures : 2,6" high by 1,4" diameter.

Overall length of the cane : 34,6".

WATER SQUIRTER MONK 

Gadget water squirter cane. Metal knob sculpted of a famous smiling monk representation of DOM PERIGNON, written on the ring (well know French champagne).

To fill the cane, we unscrew the knob. The water is compressed out of the rubber tube by a metal bar activated by a push button located on the shaft.

Knob's measures : 3,4'' high by 2,4'' large.

Overall length of the cane : 35,5''.

ELECTRIC LAMP GADGET CANE 

Gadget cane, wich can be used as an electric lamp. The round sculpted silver knob has in front a magnifyiang glass. To lighten, one's push a button located on the base of thre knob. See C. Dike's, model patent in 1904 in "la Nature".

On a rosewood veneered shaft, metal ferrule.

BRIGG'S PENCIL HOLDER 

Gadget cane for races. The twisted Ebony of Macassar knob is sculpted on a silver base worked the same way. A small ring on the side pulled up, release a silver pencil located on the top of the knob. Brigg hall mark.

Shaft in hazel tree.

ALARM CANE 

Gadget cane wich can be used as an alarm. The copper Milord knob is on a metal shaft.

When one blow on the top of the knob, a shrill noise can be heard, it can be used as a siren.
