RELUCTANT BEHEADED OF A BLACK WOMAN Gadget cane, called "reluctant beheaded". The handle allows the head to be cut off. By a system of cogwheel, the blade slips on one of the notches and the next one catches the head. Patended in 1898, this stick was sold at Renault & Cie in Paris. The small knife is kept in the shaft.
The knob is in ebony, the teeth and earings in ivory, and the eyes in sulfure. The shaft is in brown bamboo.
